Dubai Properties Stay In the News

Dubai Properties

Dubai Properties continue to garner attention, as Dubai based Emaar Hotels continues Its winning streak, as the company is planning to build another co-branded hotel with Georgio Armani, for a third time.   The agreement in 2004 which began between Armani and Emaar, has led to a successful brand that has been popular with travelers in their stay in the Middle East.  The brand has had particular success in the Dubai Hotels market and led to the design of the new structure likely to be built in Paris, (France), New York City (USA) or Marrrakesh.  The second hotel, is still on schedule to open in 2011 in Milan.  According to all reports, both companies could not be more pleased.

The CEO of Emaar has said that the design is a preliminary stage and could be utilized of one of the three cities in the running, based on the solid performance it has experienced in the Dubai Hotels "space".  Since it has been open in April of 2009, in the Burj Khalifa tower visitors have been making it a destination all its own in Dubai.  The hotel, its style and amenities have been well received by both foreign travelers and natives of the Middle East. The company has been keeping close watch over satisfaction with its restaurants, rooms and its lounge areas.

The company's CEO is Mark Dardenne, who has been a player in the Middle Eastern hotel market for years.  One could see his finger prints on many of Emaar's signature properties: such as "The Address Hotels as well as The Resorts brand. While many hotels in the region have been struggling throughout the summer season, Dardenne's managed properties have had a very good positive period.  He has expressed his open pleasure with this in articles and interviews this year.

Dubai hotels have, according to experts at the Hotelier Middle East conference been seeing signs of positive trends in their occupancy throughout the summer.  The CEO of the Rotana hotel group echoes this.  In addition he spoke candidly about the Dubai market.  Omer Kaddouri, an industry veteran, rejected the notion that increasing the number of hotels will depress demand and business. In fact government statistics indicate that guests at Dubai hotels increased to well over 4 million for the first six months of 2010, equaling about a 9 percent increase over 2009.
